Evolving sketch

I really love the process of creative evolution. I should coin that term! But yes, let me explain what it is. It is where you draw without planning, to just draw and keep adding and adding until finally you get the finished product without the intention of drawing it in the first place. This particular drawing is unique to me because the finished product has a definite shape unlike my other drawings where a whole bunch of unrelated stuff are vomited onto a page in a doodle like manner. I couldn't have done it without my handy brush pen either =)

Peace out

Radioactive Graveyard of Televisions

-Radioactive Graveyard of Televisions-

"In a section of the dump would exist a pile of televisions. Secluded and forgotten. A faint glow from the few unbroken screens providing the only illumination in the dark. Flickering like flames on candles."

I'm sure anyone reading this could come up with something a hundred times better than my lousy literature. People who draw well rarely write well and vice versa. Unless you are one of the few talented ones out there. XD

I have a feeling I would enjoy colouring this in.. It's all drawn in Pen by the way, except for the radioactive symbols. Those are in pencil.. Nice to have a pen drawing once in a while!

Bookmark completed!

My 1st drawing with my new tablet! XD (The previous signature one didn't count as it was a fraction of the drawing)
The edge of the axe is still a bit rough, every time I saved and opened the file I would lose quality XP My layers were quite messy too. Not bad for a first try I would have to proudly say! =D

Special brushes are GREAT! made a huge huge difference to the backdrop. Still need to experiment more on that...

1st drawing completed on my new tablet! =D Recently bough one but hardly had the chance to use it so I decided to just finish off half my drawing so that I have something to post.. Looks familiar? (refer to previous post) Yeaps! It's the right part of the bookmark! I tried imagining what it would be like if I made this my official signature for everything, signing credit cards, names and letters. XP I'll be sticking with my boring old signature for now..

Orion's Belt

I know I said a while back about not posting about my personal life but this was a very exciting moment for me.

2AM - I felt an urge to get out of my clammy room and onto the balcony to get some air. The sky was amazingly clear that night and I spotted a few stars from constellations that I would NEVER have expected to see in KL. The ones that caught my eye were 3 stars in a straight and tight line formation. Thanks to a small 'stumble' (internet surfing add on) I came across a site which allows me to set my location and time to be able to see a virtual night sky and the constellations that it contains. Using this handy site I was able to name stars and constellations that I could see with my eyes and with the help of a pair of binoculars.
Here are the constellations and stars that I was able to see in KL:

Mintaka, Alnilam and Alnitak from Orion's belt
Betelguese from the constellation of Orion
Aldebaran from the constellation of Taurus
Procyon from Canis Minor
Sirus (Dog star) from Canis Major
Canopus from Carina

There were many more that I didn't have enough patience to pin point and name.

You can check out these stars from your place too using this site:

Cheers!

Bookmark Ahead!

Was scribbling on a strip of paper when I was bored. It then somehow turned into this bookmark here! I continued to bookmarkify it by spraying it with lacquer to give it strength. Waiting for an opportunity to give it away =)

Want others to enjoy art too! =D
